Just imagine the Surfari's song Wipe Out. Now change the title of the song to White Out and you can imagine the New Year's Day that we are enjoying while ringing in 2011! Nic arrived safely after the roads got plowed yesterday and now today even more roads are closed, preventing travel in most of west central MN. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-White Out!
We are blessed to be together as a family, snuggled close, playing board games, reading together, and enjoying Nana's cooking as we celebrate the beginning of another year together. The definition of progress, I have realized, is being thankful we are at the place where we are in our family journey (not a physical location, but a point of growth) and hopeful in God's sovereignty and sufficiency for each day's needs. This is progress. We continue to pray for progress and dependency on God in 2011: to be changed, refined, renewed, and restored.
