Our youngest daughter has been growing her hair out for Locks of Love for the past two years now and for her sixth birthday she asked to get her hair cut so that she could donate the pony tail to children who have lost their hair due for some medical reason. She turns six this week just two days before Christmas, and we managed to squeeze in an early birthday celebration before all the Christmas festivities and we made a special trip to get her hair cut.
She was so excited to hold up her pony tail and know that it was going to be made into a hair piece for a child with a medical illness. After getting home she announced that she was going to grow her hair out again and donate it as soon as she had another 10 inches ready to cut. This is the kind of kiddo she is - joyfully generous. For her birthday she also asked for donations to be made in honor of her to New Life Family Services, a local crisis pregnancy center and adoption agency that our church is helping to support. She wanted to help mamas choose life for their babies and for children to grow up with families.
It is amazing to watch our sweet daughter grow up and become a passionate advocate for adoption. We are thankful every day for the opportunity to parent this precious child who joined our family as a chubby-cheeked little baby five and a half years ago in Bogota, Colombia.
Corinn, we pray that God continues to keep your heart tender to His Word and that you would have an amazing love for Him, pursuing Him alone and finding complete joy and contentedness there.

Wow, I can't believe Corinn is 6! How cool that she shared her hair too. What a tender spirit. Happy Birthday Corinn, and happy times to the family!
