Special Day

Five years ago today we woke up at 6 a.m. in Bogota in a small room at Hotel Zuetana. We were so excited we hadn't hardly slept that night after traveling the entire day before. I couldn't figure out the showers and their hot water system there and was just so excited that I ended up taking a cold shower that morning. It was a very cold shower. We were both showered, dressed and entirely ready before breakfast at 7 a.m. We looked at one another wondering what we would to pass the hours until our presentation time at 11 a.m. After breakfast we got ready some more, talked with some of the other families staying at Hotel Zuetana, and waited and waited and waited.

Finally our representative arrived and we drove to the Ayudame orphanage. After filling out over an hours worth of paperwork and going over our daughter's medical history for her first four months of life, we were united with our daughter. It was a precious and beautiful moment, and the beginning of an amazing journey together as a family.

Corinn Faith, we are thankful to be blessed with the opportunity to be your mama and papa. We pray that you will fully understand God's great love and His sovereign purpose for you. We are amazed daily as we watch you trust God as your sufficiency and live out your faith.
