Birthday Blessings

Thursday was Noah's 4th birthday and I was able to reflect on many blessings in the past three and a half + years that he has been home in our family. He enjoyed having the extra attention of his sisters celebrating just him that day. The day before we went on a family field trip to Orchestra Hall to listen to the Minnesota Orchestra do a children's concert of the Four Seasons. It was something special that we chose as a birthday event for Noah because he absolutely loves music. He sat absolutely still for the entire hour long concert. Nana came to visit to help with the field trip and to help me around the house for a few days. This gave me some extra time to reflect and have more one-on-one time with each of the children. It was a precious birthday gift to be able to enjoy Noah on his birthday.

Noah is a fabulous four year old. He is smart and funny and creative. He is intense. Very intense. We have quit praying for his leadership skills and now pray for him to find his confidence only in Christ. He daily tries to lead (direct, boss, lovingly intimidate, preach at, and teach) his three older sisters, and is often successful at it. He can sing and preach in two languages and is passionate about the Bible already at age four. He is a dynamic child who loves life and who loves the Lord.

Noah requested a "Fishing" cake.

Awww...Noah reminds me so much of Silas!!! Passionate, intense, and running the show...I guess that's why God probably gave us so many daughters...Thanking God for little Noah and God's faithfulness to him in his first 4 years of life!! K
