1 Corinthians, 10:31So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
Colossians 3:22-24Bondservants, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters, not by way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
Colossians 3:16-18Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing on another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
This weekend we had a very productive Saturday. After I made an early morning grocery run, we started our day with a surprise of donuts and smoothies and the family Bible study that we will soon be wrapping up. This year we have enjoyed a weekly study together on dealing with conflict and making peace called The Young Peacemaker. I think that I can say we have all learned so much!
After our breakfast treats, we made a list together of projects and divided them up amongst the entire family. Since Nic is a project manager, this day was right up his alley! The Colombian Brewed pitched in and worked together as a team, helping one another, and plowing through a stack of chores and projects. What joy to see them learn new skills, work together, encourage one another, maintain a positive attitude, and accomplish something. I didn't get pictures of all of the chores since many were going on simultaneously, and my hands were tied up in a few chores for much of the day. The entire day was productive for hearts and hands!
Hugo worked on fixing the breaks on the car.
We prepared the garden.
Noah helped plant the raspberries, thanks to our friends the Taffy's.
Hugo mowed the ditch.
Cooling off by washing the vehicles.
Corinn and Noah planting tomatoes with Nic.
Maria set up a tent passed along to us from Grandpa to make sure we were ready for our next camping trip.
Hamburgers on the grill to end the day!
