Psalm 150:3-6
Praise him with trumpet sound;
praise him with lute and harp!
Praise him with tambourine and dance;
praise him with strings and pipe!
Praise him with sounding cymbals;
praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord!
In addition to celebrating Corinn's Special Day and Noah's birthday this weekend, we celebrated the end of another year of dance classes with the annual Dancin' Feet Dance recital. This year's recital was extra special in a few ways. Not only did our two Colombian Brewed dancers, Corinn and Serena, dance in this year's recital, but Nic and I also danced in the recital. No, we did not dance in the back of the auditorium or out in the hallway or in the parking lot, pretending to be participants like some siblings/children of the recital participants that I know (but won't list by name here on this blog - hint: they live in our own home!). Nic and I were actual performers in the recital, even listed in the program! Certainly Serena and Corinn were the stars in our family, but Nic and I had a lot of fun with them. Nic danced the father/daughter dance this year with both Serena and Corinn. He had his hands full helping them both spin and leap to the ballet song they learned. I participated in a clogging class this year just for fun and exercise and to try something new. I jumped right into the intermediate level because that class was available at a time that fit our family schedule. I am now convinced that learning intermediate clogging must be one of the best ways ever to prevent alzheimer's...either that or a good way to assess if you have the beginning stages of it. It was so hard to remember all the steps and the names of each one when one step is actually several single steps strung together in a certain pattern. We all had a great time, got good exercise, and enjoyed learning some new moves this year. We are thankful for the teachers at Dancin' Feet Dance for their integrity, creativity, modesty, and encouragement. We are thankful for the extended family that could come and enjoy the recital along with us.

My mom and dad came to support the dancers and enjoy the celebrations with us this weekend.
The love and support of our parents means so much to us!
