A Blessed Day

Psalm 51:12
Restore to me the joy of your salvation,
and uphold me with a willing spirit.

Psalm 103:17-18
But the steadfast love of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children's children, to those who keep his covenant and remember to do his commandments.

A week ago we celebrated Mother's Day and it was truly a day full of blessing!  All week long I have been considering the blessing of that day and savoring the blessing of each of my children.  I was reminded in so many ways how precious each of my children are and what a mighty God we have who redeems brokenness and restores joy.

On Mother's Day morning my children surprised me with a wonderfully made breakfast of omelets.  They are wonderful cooks!  After church we returned home and they made my favorite meal: fresh garden salad with warm bread.  They each prayed for me and we had a time of sharing sweet gifts and then took some pictures together.  After a time of resting we enjoyed a family walk and then they orchestrated supper plans and made cookies for me.  It was a beautiful day and a day full of blessing and grace!
