When God Touches Your Heart for Adoption

About 18 months ago, just prior to leaving for our last adoption, I had the priviledge to pray with and encourage a woman and her family from Texas. I didn't know her, but was connected to her somehow through the internet or our agency. I forget the specifics now about how God brought us together. She was adopting a daughter from Colombia. It was an honor for me to share what we had learned in our previous two adoptions regarding the practical paperwork and logistical steps and also to be able to share what God had done in my own life through my own adoption and through the adoption journey of our two children.

Fast forward to today. I consider it a priviledge to pray for my friend Lorraine and her continuously growing family daily as the Lord touches each of their hearts for adoption. Their adoptions have not been easy or perfect, but they have had a beautiful reflection of God's sovereignty, His love and His grace for His children.

As they recently completed their third international adoption in the past 18 months, their oldest son, Parker, shared some of his thoughts regarding adoption and how God is touching his heart. I urge you to read Parker's thoughts on the blessing of adoption. I was encouraged by it today and I hope you will be too! Just click on the link above to go to the article.
