Tonight, and for the next week and a half, we are praying for our Sunday School teacher and his wife as they travel to Ethiopia to visit their two sons - one who is legally available for adoption and whose adoption process they are working to complete, and one who's story is yet to be determined through the legal process, but both whom they love dearly as sons.
Over the course of the past year we have been blessed by the prayers and teaching of the DeRouchies and we have been encouraged to watch their hearts passionately embrace Christ's call to adoption through joy and sorrow. We pray for their other children eagerly waiting at home and for their sons in Ethiopia as they meet and share precious first memories together. We pray that God would bless this special time for their family with His presence, His peace, and His provision for every need.
I have been blessed and encouraged by reading the DeRouchies Christ-centered blog chronicling their adoption journey and I know that you would, too. You can click on the link here or along the side where I keep a list of blogs I read - theirs is titled Grace In Motion. Our family has chosen to print out the October 7 entry list of travel details to pray over and to keep this list in our van. Since we are in and out of the van several times each day traveling here and there, it is a reminder to stop and pray for the needs of another family growing through international adoption every time we get in and out of the van. It also helps our children take an active part in remembering and praying for a family they are very excited for. I love seeing God at work through adoption!
Please join us in praying in anticipation!
