Proverbs 1:2-7
To know wisdom and instruction,
to understand words of insight,
to receive instruction in wise dealing,
in righteousness, justice, and equity;
to give prudence to the simple,
knowledge and discretion to the youth
Let the wise hear and increase in learning,
and the one who understands obtain guidance,
to understand a proverb and a saying,
the words of the wise and their riddles.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge;
fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Today is the first day of school for a bunch of really cool kids at our house and the first day of the third week of college for one cool yult (young + adult). This school year includes a lot of changes for us all. Not only are we living on the farm in a rural school district but we are doing a variety of things for schooling this year that we haven't done in the past. After much prayer and preparation we trust that the Lord has good things for our children to learn this year in a variety of settings and we pray that He would teach them wisdom and give them a heart that is more and more in love with Him each day.
