The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save;he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love;he will exult over you with loud singing.
One year ago yesterday, Hugo and Maria flew home with us to join our family. It has been a wonderful year getting to know Hugo and Maria, delighting in them, their sense of humor, their talents, their personalities. We have rejoiced over them as we have watch them grow and learn as teenagers. It has been a privilege to teach and guide them in school and life. It is a joy to show them love and embrace them in our family. We have learned so much during this past year, about ourselves, about parenting, about God's great love for us. It is our hope that Hugo and Maria know they are loved, rejoiced over, exulted over, and held by a God who is mighty to save.
