We are settling in incredibly well as a newly expanded family of eight, all things considered.
Considering that parenting in general is not easy...
Considering that parenting hurt children is not easy...
Considering that adopting older children is not easy...
Considering that adopting out of "order" is not easy...
Considering that parenting children with special needs is not easy...
Considering that parenting children who are extremely bright is not easy...
Considering that living with other sinful humans is not easy...
Considering that living with my own ugly sin is not easy...
We are settling in incredibly well as a newly expanded family of eight, as God makes His grace abound and reveals to us His sufficiency for us in all things at all times so that we can abound in good works. Works of loving, teaching, training and rejoicing over precious children! And these good works are not from ourselves (we have no right to boast!), but they are by God's grace and sufficiency. Challenges (in all things, at all times) that would have sent me over the edge in the past have become opportunities to show love and grow in grace and trust. God has been abundantly sufficient for us in this growing season.
