Encouraged from Experience

We are so thankful to have friends and family who truly understand the heart of the Gospel as it relates to caring for orphans. James 1:27 says, "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." God cares an awful lot about the orphan and about how His people respond to the needs of the orphan. After my previous post, one of our dear friends, shared her encouargement with me; encouragement that came directly from her own experience with older-child, international adoption. It is just too good not to share it with each of you. Please take the time to be encouraged and challenged...

you are embarking on something many people don't think about. I'm glad that God has unsettled your heart for all orphans whether it be a baby or an older child.
