Birthday Blast!

1 Chronicles 16:9-11
Sing to him, sing praises to him;
tell of all his wondrous works!
Glory in his holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice!
Seek the LORD and his strength;
seek his presence continually!

The month of December brought us a Birthday Blast!  We made an effort to celebrate our sweet nephew's 3rd birthday and Grandma ChaChi's birthday all in one weekend, but we were railroaded by a nasty virus that wiped out two of our big girls and then took out the rest of the family later on that week.

Once we were all healthy we had a small first birthday celebration at home for a little sweetie who is staying with us in foster care and who we all have come to love.  (Of course, I can't share his sweet picture because he is in the care of the county.)  Oh the delight of ripping wrapping paper off a gift! This precious little boy has become so dear to our hearts!

Corinn's 10th birthday came the following week.  Double digits already!  I remember so clearly her own first birthday and it seems impossible that she could grow up so quickly!  She is indeed a precious daughter!

Finally, we celebrated the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!  The holiday season was filled with reminders of His glory and much rejoicing in Him.  Celebrating Christmas is a sweet reminder for our hearts to seek the Lord and His strength.  Even in the busyness of the holiday season and our many family birthdays, we are to seek His presence continually.
