Days Go By: A Photo Review

2 Corinthians 4:1
Therefore, having this ministry by the mercy of God, we do not lose heart.

The days go by so quickly, and here it is that months have passed us by again.  Daily I long to reflect on the goodness of God in written form, to testify of His love and faithfulness to us.  It so rarely happens that I take time to sit down and write.  Life is full.  Life is busy.  Life is hard.  And God is good.  "Therefore, having this ministry by the mercy of God, we do not lose heart." 2 Corinthians 4:1. So here is a quick photo review of the birthdays, special days, and special events of the past several months:

It is hard to believe that 10 years ago (in May) we welcomed our first child into our family after what felt like hours of signing paperwork in an orphanage office in Bogota, Colombia.  Corinn Faith, you are a precious daughter.  You bring delight to each day!

Noah celebrated his 8th Birthday in May!  He wanted a fishing cake and a good friend and cake decorator came over and taught us how to decorate a cake.  Noah, you are growing into an amazing young man.  It is sweet to hear you say that you want to be just like Papa when you grow up!

Hugo graduated from high school at the end of May - our first graduate from Olson Academy!  During the past three years we have learned a lot about homeschooling high school and enjoying parenting through the teenage years. Hugo, God has blessed you with much talent and ability in life - it is our prayer that you would spend your life delighting in Him and serving Him.

Aliah turned 14 in August! A fan of horses, kitties, and bugs of all kinds, Aliah you are growing up to be a beautiful young woman who is learning to delight in the things of the Lord!

Noah celebrated his 8th Special Day in September.  8 years ago we waited for him in that same orphanage office.  Thank you, for this funny, creative boy!

We celebrated my birthday in September.   What a sweet gift this family is to me!

Serena turned 16 in September! She is a beautiful young woman inside and out - a testimony of God's grace and love!  Our prayer is that you would continue to grow in grace, trusting the Lord in all things!

Nic tore his ACL in August playing soccer on Hugo's adult men's team.  It was a painful and humbling experience, but the surgery and recovery have gone exceptionally well!  After almost 3 months he can now walk without crutches and without a limp...almost.

Maria turned 17 in October.  Maria is such a joy to be around and has become an amazing help at home!  These high school years are flying by and I consider each day with her a blessing!
